The teachers that stick around in our memory banks are so powerful long after we’ve known them. I enjoyed the melding of sand dunes and calmness - and of course, how moved I am for you to have mentioned me! <3 You’re doing such good, beautiful things here, Renee! And yes - lots and lots of courage.

Thank you, Adrian! You are a compass-holder, lighting a path I can not, and so I must mention your work.

So much courage! It takes a warrior to strike the sword into one's truth.

wow MUST BE MY FAVORITE SO FAR- I guess because it had to deal with my love of the ocean. So many, and I would say all, can respond to this piece of a beautifully written memory and the lesson it evokes.

I love that you loved this piece and how you could connect to it because of your love for the sea. So much of us live in the ocean, heart and mind! Thank you for walking down this memory with me. :)

the unbridled joy! such a thing to behold. When I watched my dog run, the same way that you describe it here.

So much joy! And as I no longer live by the sea and much time has passed, the memory is even more potent. I can easily imagine a happy dog running along the dunes as we all did that day! We were like a happy litter of puppies :)

It really resonated with me when you said experiencing good feelings is a choice. It took me a long time to understand that. I still struggle to focus on the good sometimes, but it is much easier to do so when I am consistent with my meditative practice. Thank you for sharing your wonderful memory. I really appreciate the joy you have shared with me throughout our friendship!

You are such a dear friend to me, Allie, and I am incredibly grateful for all the love and care and support you have offered to me over many years.

I struggle, too. Whenever I lose the thread of my meditation practice I slip down the muddy path of negative thinking....and it's so easy to lose the thread. I believe that's why we need our friends and family to help us hold steady on the path.
