beautiful watercolor- PEACEFUL and the way most of us see what we are. Love the meditation and will go back to it often- TY TY TY. I used to feel very peaceful in the present but when other problems that you don't know how to solve clog your mind it is difficult to step back.

Thank you so much. Getting praise from an artist like you feels so wonderful!

The clogged mind...what a brilliant phrase. Clogs are miserable. What Terry said below about you can't do it through the intellect alone speaks to this, pointing to the idea we have to give ourselves a method to slip past the clogs. Art, dance, swimming, yoga, meditation, or anything that aids in that is gold.

I'm impressed with your painting ability, especially as it's a watercolour. Very beautiful and calming it is too. My own thinking on this subject is that you can only go so far in "allowing" through intellect alone. I have a book here called Remember, Be Here Now. I love the book, but just remembering to be here now only gets you so far. One needs a technique or practice that gives the intellect the slip, as it were, like yoga or Tai Chi or, in my case, meditation. It seems to take ages to achieve though!

Thank you, Terry. Watercolor is a play of beautiful frustration! It's a shame I love watercolor more than oil. :)

I couldn't agree more about the limits of the intellect in regards to "allowing". I love, no adore, your phrase, give the intellect a slip. Isn't that the truth. If I rely on intellect alone, I easily go the opposite direction of "allowing", finding myself in the torment of wild imaginings. And, yes, it does seem to take ages to achieve! Probably why quick momentary fixes are so alluring.

Thank you, for reading/listening. Your presence here means a lot.

Such a beautiful painting, Renee! And I love your words...so apt for me today. "when we taste the light of our worth, we nurture courage to Allow." Thank you for your presence in this online world.🧡🍁
