Thank you so very much, Terry, for such a shout out. I'm humbled.
The above article, highlighting your experience of Nature Support that your teacher taught is profound. The ever-present, pulsing energy from Nature, or the essence of life, that we can be more aligned with, or aware of our alignment to, is comforting.
I especially loved the bit about your teacher's advice that if you saw Jesus while meditating you should say “Hello, Jesus, nice to meet you. But now I must get back to my mantra.”
What a paradisical sanctuary! Thank you for sharing these brilliant pictures and as always your crystal-clear insights. I have missed your newsletter. Om Mani Padme Hum ✴
Welcome back! Really poignant words - this in particular is something I’m grappling with currently on relative reality:
“the reality we all are comfortable with, the reality, that without the awareness of the Absolute, brings suffering by grasping”.
So relevant to navigating this material world whilst retaining mental equanimity. I feel trust in ones self and resilience is such an integral concept.
Thank you! It's always good to be back in my own little nest, despite the feelings of wanting the road trip to continue.
Trust in self and resilience is something I am still working on, or recovering. My experience with trust is that I know it's there, yet fears block me at times from allowing it to be fully present.
I'm heading over to your publication now. I've missed it!
Thank you, Ali, for being here and reading! I just subscribed to your amazing newsletter... I needed a community exactly like the one you're creating as I am working hard to be published. :)
I'm so happy my newsletter resonates with you! Thank you for joining! When I was 21, I spent a summer in Dharamsala working with Tibetan refugees and it was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. Your story inspired to find a community here in the states.
What an fantastic experience, working with Tibetan refugees. I've talked to my Tibetan teacher and his assistant who is a nun about returning to India, but they have both said it is not a good time. Although that was four years ago, and I believe what they were worried about has passed. I've not traveled in many years and am beginning to play with the idea of adventure again. Do you want to return to Dharmasala?
Thank you, my friend! I hope you find yourself at a retreat in the near future. Like travel, retreats snap me out of habits, and it always feels refreshing to return home with a mind clear and calm after a disruption of my daily routines.
I started to feel relaxed just reading this post! Thank you. It inspired me to respond:

So glad you're back and so glad you had such an experience - a retreat like this is on my bucket list.
And I love that you refer to this post as a letter - it's exactly what it feels like each time I read your articles! <3
