That was a beautiful poem and I loved the sound of the creek in the background. The poem matched some of what I did today- went to the bay and peered in the water alongside docks looking for wild things! And in those moments, I was not worried about the To Do list waiting for me at work tomorrow morning.

I love how you peered into the docks looking for wild things! The edges of the oceans are the best place to look for wild things. To do lists dissolve in nature and life emerges in all it's authenticity.... well most of the time!

I love this poem. I can relate to it entirely. Sometimes I pray for humanity to simplify along with many other prayers for peace etc.

The stream sounds were very cozy. Now that spring is here I hope you can record in that location a bit more!

Simplicity is so elusive it seems so often. This poet was a famous environmentalist and his connection to the wild is so strong yet tender.

I should record more outside. I dream about recording near the ocean, in the mountains, near the lake........... Thank you for the encouragement!

Oh, what a delicious rest from work this poem gave me. Late to your post, because I wanted to listen at the right time. Always a treat, Renee.

Thank you, Alice. Your support and kindness at the beginning of this journey mean so much. I just saw your publication in my inbox and am excited to go listen.

So you're an ARTIST, too!? That's a phenomenal watercolor! One of my favorite mediums. I tend to dabble in tiny little diorama building - tanks and such. Amazing what other creative pursuits fill the soul of a writer.

Lovely poem - amazing water sound from that brook! (Thank you for having good sound quality - nothing irks me more than a podcast or audio session with poor sound).

And not to be weird, but if I wanted to send you an email, where would I send it?

Thank you so so much, Brandi! For every 20 hideous watercolor paintings 1 emerges that is nice! One of my big intentions is to illustrate my children's stories. :) Diaramas are 3D models, right? That is amazing you know how to do those! I'd love to see them. (maybe you could include them in your publication at some point?)

It's a big relief to read the sound quality is good because I still need to buy an app to help clean the podcast hums that naturally occur. I wasn't going to begin substack until I got everything 'perfect' but decided to kick perfectionism to the curb!

Not weird question. With substack, I believe if you just hit reply within one of my publications it goes to my substack email.

Awesome, thanks! I have heard some very, very famous people's podcasts and the sound is awful. I also suffer from the perfectionism complex! I'm glad you went for it - what a gift!
